Great Trango Tower is the kind of place that makes you stop mid-sentence and just stare. In this episode, I’m sharing my conversation with Christina “Lusti” Lustenberger and Jim Morrison, two of the athletes featured in Trango — a documentary that follows the team’s fight to earn the first ski descent off this massive Karakoram peak. And while I was lucky enough to interview Christina and Jim, it is important to name Chantel Astorga too, because this story does not happen without the whole crew showing up and committing together. It is not a highlight reel. It is the long days, the hard calls, and the moment when everything finally lines up and they drop in.
